Key deadlines

Applications for this year’s Global Graduate Leadership Programme have now closed.

However, applications for our 2020 intake open again in September 2019.

  • To be on track to graduate with a degree in any discipline
  • Be able to commit to full-time employment in September 2019

Please check our global careers websites, listed here, for details.

If my previous application wasn't successful, how long do I have to wait before I can re-apply?

You’ll have to wait until the following academic year before re-applying.

Do you accept applications from graduates who require work permits?

You need to be eligible to work in the country that you are applying for without the need for sponsorship.

As part of my course I want to do a business placement, does Aviva offer these?

Please keep checking our global careers websites here for details.

I graduated a few years ago; can I still apply for a graduate position?

Yes of course, we welcome all students from all backgrounds. What’s important to us is that you have a good academic record, a flexible approach to where you will be working and commitment to our Global Graduate Leadership Programme.

What type of lead times should I expect?

Whilst we will process your application as efficiently as possible, lead times can vary dependent on country, their close date and the volume of applications. We will keep you fully up-to-date with your progress at regular intervals throughout the application process.

Will my travel expenses be reimbursed?

Our first stage interview is a video interview so you can take this from your home location, wherever it is in the world. Each country will have its own policy for this so please ask your local recruiter for further details.

What is the salary for the Global Graduate Leadership Programme?

Given the global nature of the programme, we will provide a salary aligned to the market you are recruited to and benchmarked to similar companies in that country. The programme will offer competitive benefits throughout the scheme and full support throughout any international placement too.

Will I be able to choose where I rotate?

Each rotation is dependent on business needs and it is important that you are open and willing to rotate into any role or market within the programme.

Will my spouse be able to come with me on placement?

Requests such as these are dealt with on a case-by-case basis, and can depend on where you rotate to. Partners have accompanied graduates on their rotations in the past.

Will I be able to meet other people I am joining with before I start?

Because this is a global graduate programme, getting together face-to-face prior to joining can be challenging. However, we will ensure that you’re able to chat to other people joining the programme via our Global Graduate Leadership Programme app. You will also be allocated a buddy prior to joining and receive further information about Aviva before you start.
